Chicago went better than I had expected. I really, really loved every single minute of it! The catchy tunes, exaggerated motions, live band, witty parts...Haha...before this, I would never have thought that I could ever appreciate musicals and all those arty stuff well enough to enjoy myself at the performances, but boy, each visit to a ballet, or muscial or stage performance just got better and better...Like today, I could actually follow the entire storyline and sung words so closely I am amazed! More surprising still, after the initial 'hmm..doesn't look that promising leh' thought that came with the opening lines, I soon found myself quite absorbed and engrossed with the show...(Ok..to those esplanade buffs out there, im sorry if this sounds so DUH kies...and anyway, im on YOUR side now lor haha...)

Yup...then had dinner at China One...ended up discussing the movie Closer...heard that it's rated R(A) back home? Opps...so most of us wouldn't have been able to catch that movie if we had wanted to in spore! Haha...well, it's quite a thought-provoking movie,and as a friend commented afterwards, it's a very real life protrayal of what love and relationship is about..this we each have our own interpretations to, but overall, the movie took a pretty gloomy stance on it. Do dreams ever belong to reality for long? Are all beauty but transitory, fleeting as a butterfly? Pretty disturbing, as someone remarked. (Somehow that reminded me of the show Butterfly Effect...no connection in the storyline at all tho...n totally different feelings...hmm..)

It's gonna another busy week ahead soon...arrgh...=p But each passing day also means a day closer to summer...to the sunny island..my sunny island...I love it here, but I do miss home too...well, same sentiments for many ppl I guess..
