It's a small world we live in, and the interlinked relationships we all share still do not cease to amaze me. It's so complex, yet really simple at the same time.
We're all bonded together by friendships and kinships. I-know-U-know-him...and two awkwardly polite strangers become chummy buddies.
It's a totally new experience, the current 'project' of my life. Pretty good training I'd say, even if it felt initially as if I was thrown immediately into the deep end of the pool on the first swimming lesson.
We soon learn that we soon learn anyway. Some lessons, though, taking longer to sink in than the others. It's been fun interacting with all the strangers, the really long hours on our feet and the great travelling distance (for me) notwithstanding.
Yet more colours splashed onto the plain white cloth, more pages of the journal filled, more pieces of the gigantic jigsaw puzzle fallen in place, more footsteps printed on the soft sand...but we are still far from revealing the picture, from launching the biography, from hanging up the frame, from summarising the pairs of footprints in the sand...
Approaching the Big Two-O, one can't help but stop and reflect on the distant past and ponder about the distant future... It's easy to envy the kids sometimes...their carefree innocence keeping them easily contented and happy. =)
