It was rather impromptu. One casual remark about a possible badminton session this morning and I'm off from the flat carrying my badminton racquet to school. It's been hanging on my wall, serving as a sporty deco instead of serving the shuttle cock for way too long. And so a phone call, an sms and a morning's worth of lessons later, I'm back on the familiar court. I actually do miss doing sports quite a bit, too bad the sports membership + entrance fee here is so ex, or I would have gone more often. Would really love to try out the gym too, it looks really neat from what the glass window panes reveal from the outside, but that is even more costly. Arrgh. Wellwell...I'll rekindle my loveofsports back home in a couple more months' time I guess.

Was a little worried initially that my 'skills' at badminton (self-taught really, from the few sessions I manage to play whenever the opportunities arise, which isn't often) would have turned rusty from the lack of use by now. It's been some...one year(?) since I last thrashed the shuttle cock around on the court, and it feels good to be doing it again. Haha..and the feeling of perspiration gathering on your body after an intense workout session is.just.great! Especially since I don't get to experience this feeling much, what with being in this cold country, except when thai green curry's served for dinner.=p

It wasn't too bad...of course I'm still far from being considered a good player yet, but it has been an improvement since I first stepped onto the court tentatively and full of doubts on that first real attempt a couple of years ago in Tampines. Yes z, our first badminton session was at Tampines...and indeed, how familiar every badminton court look, with their brick walls and polished floors. But it feels different each time, doesn't it?
